Unite Mathematique, Informatique et Genome (MIG), is a French research
laboratory which belongs to the Institut National de la Recherche
Agronomique, INRA. The INRA research on information systems has an emerging

in close relation with the integration of gene function annotations, issued
from large scale analyses of genomes. These are based on new experimental

bases (i.e. AOL France). Exalead's major research activity is centered on
core XML technologies, statistical linguistics (used for automatic keyword
thesaurus building) and information retrieval for corporate search engines
and portals. XML technologies are wrapped into a documentary programming
language called ExaScript. Major ExaScript products features are: the
ability to natively treat XML classes, multiple dispatch, regular
expressions (with Unicode support), and parametric classes, persistent XML
Object, and Java support.
